Leroy Lewis
Leroy was born and raised in a small town - Mims, Florida - east coast area, graduating from Astronaut High School in 1982. He completed his associate degree in Architecture Structural at age 19 with 3.9 grade point average in Tampa, Florida. Eventually he wanted to serve his country so he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he progressed to rank of Senior Master Sergeant/E-8 during his 25 years of service. While serving in the various locations in the aircraft maintenance, he went back to college in evening classes for 2 years earning an associate of applied science in Aircraft Maintenance Technology from Community College of Air Force and a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma and graduated in 2008. After transitioning from the military, he was offered an Adjunct Maintenance Instructor with Boeing 787 Dreamliner at Trident Technical College in Charleston, South Carolina in 2011. He was very proactive in seeking career progression, applied and seal the deal in Learning Training and Development as an Instructor/Employee Development Specialist that specialized in sealant certifications at Boeing with 737 aircraft in Renton, Washington. Leroy was actively seeking a challenging career progression, applied to Missiles and Fire Control at Lockheed Martin Corporation as a Senior Maintenance Trainer on the M-TADS/ PNVS program on AH-64D/E Apache aircraft in Orlando, Florida. Leroy has three children name Tamra, Bernice and Torrance, and two grandchildren named Xena and Jaylynn. Leroy and his wife Tammy make their home in Titusville, Florida along with their Schnauzer dog, named Tyson.
